I know I have been promising you all a new and exciting website along with my new blog and networking pages, however the process has been taking longer than I anticipated due to how busy I have been. Since moving to California the demand for my unique style of figurative modeling has increased rapidly and the artists I represent through my production company are thriving and working steadily in various areas of the fantasy arts.
So before heading down to the 2012 San Diego Comic Con I wanted to give you all an update on what I have been doing along with a sneak peak of some of the exciting things coming to my new website and networking pages. The modeling I am doing now has expanded far outside the boundaries of the traditional form of illustration modeling I started working in where the artists only work from photographs. The work I am doing now is with artists in the entertainment arts who primarily work from life at some of the biggest animation studios, visual effects studios, video game developers and concept artists in the industry including: Blizzard Entertainment, DreamWorks, Riot Games, Blur Studio, Rhythm & Hues Studios, Carbine Studios, Disney Feature Animation/Imagineering/TV and Consumer Products. When working in the entertainment arts field you really have to bring your characters to life and be able to push your body to extreme positions and contort yourself into dynamic artful expressive poses to help the artists tell their story. It has enable me to utilize my extensive background in character modeling as well as my strong background in acting and dance and I love every minute of it.
It is my goal to have the new pages launched by early fall of this year so until then below you will see some of the exciting things I have been doing along with a sample of things to come. One of the most amazing projects I did was a Pose Book with the amazing artist Stephen Silver where I am featured on a downloadable APP offering a large selection of character poses for artists to work with. I also did a series of illustrations with artist Alex Horley for Rob Zombie's last CD booklet and limited edition box set and we have just started to work on the images for his next CD release. I did an interview and workshop with renowned concept artist Paul Richards and posed for photos with fans at New York Times Best Selling author Heather Graham's Vampire Ball. In Heavy Metal News, I appeared with Kevin Eastman at Melt Down Comics in Los Angeles to celebrate 30 years of Heavy Metal and Hollywood Collectibles will release a 20 inch limited edition statue that gives 3D life to one of my most popular covers for the magazine, "Galactic Cop". There are two new images of the many to come from the characters of World of Warcraft, two sample pages from Dan Brereton's Red Sonja Comic, as well as new illustrations from Julie Bell, Tom Fleming and the cover image of Joe Kubert's How to Draw from Life Book. Last but not least you can see a small sample from a few of the outstanding artists I am working with now. I hope you all enjoy this small preview and will continue to check back for the launch of my new site.
