DEIANIRA Deianira, the wife of Hercules, took a flask filled with the poisoned blood of Centaur Nessus and spread it in her husbands jeweled tunic due to his betrayal with other women. Her sudden deep regret would prove to come too late as the blood soaked Tunic killed Hercules. She returned to their bed with her husband's sword and plunged it into her own flesh. |
